What does it mean to offset emissions?

The CO2 emissions released by our business processes are offset by funding projects that capture CO2 emissions. In this way, we reduce our environmental impact.

How does it work?

We finance verified emission reduction projects through our partner Up2You. These investments support environmental projects such as forest protection that improves air quality and absorbs carbon, urban reforestation that improves soil quality and attracts bees, a species involved in biodiversity preservation, and the provision of solar cookers to inhabitants of small rural villages in India to reduce the use of coal.

Why is it so important?

In 2022, the ICT sector produced 3.7% of total CO2 emissions and it is estimated that by 2040 the digital impact will reach 14%.
We are fully aware of our impact. That’s why we actively commit to reducing our carbon footprint.
